Phil Collins has stated that he is receiving 24-hour care due to health issues: 'Everything that could possibly go wrong with me has occurred.'

 "It's an ongoing situation," Collins stated when questioned about whether he has accepted his inability to perform music due to his health complications. "You see, I have a nurse who lives with me 24 hours a day to ensure that I take my medication as prescribed. I have faced difficulties with my knee... Everything that could possibly go wrong with me has indeed gone wrong with me."

The Grammy award winner disclosed that he has had five surgeries on his knee and currently has one that is functional. "I can walk, though with assistance, such as crutches or similar aids," he remarked.

In a previous discussion with BBC Breakfast alongside his bandmates, Collins expressed his regret regarding how his physical limitations hindered his ability to perform with Genesis. He felt particularly disheartened as they approached the band's farewell tour in 2022, during which his son, Nic, took on the role of drummer while his father concentrated on being the frontman.
