The Carpenter's Church is in mourning following the passing of Pastor Nkechi Ene.

 The Carpenter’s Church has announced the passing of its presiding pastor, Pastor Mrs. Nkechi Chinyere Ene, characterizing her transition as a significant loss to both the church and the body of Christ.

In a statement released by Pastor Sola Akinwale on behalf of the church, it was reported that Pastor Ene passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, following an extensive ministry trip filled with "miracles and testimonies." The statement highlighted that she encountered a sudden health crisis while in Lagos shortly after returning to Nigeria.

"It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing into glory of God’s servant, our presiding pastor, our mother-in-Israel, Pastor Nkechi Ene," the statement conveyed. "As we grapple with our grief and the questions that arise, we find solace in the unwavering truth that God is good and His mercies endure forever."

Pastor Ene was recognized as a woman of immense faith and conviction, celebrated for her commitment to disseminating the Word of God and her lifelong dedication to service. "She lived and believed the Word of God until her final moments," the church remarked. "She has now received the commendation from her Master, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant.’"

The church urged prayers and support for her family, which includes her husband, Brother Emeka Ene, and their daughters — Zoe, Chloe, Tracy, and Osi. The statement also conveyed condolences to her mother, Ma Mercy Chijioke, and her siblings.


"As a church family, we recognize that this is an exceptionally difficult time for us," the statement further expressed. "In moments like these, we must come together to embrace, comfort, and uplift one another, beginning with our pastor’s family."

In spite of the profound sense of loss, The Carpenter’s Church expressed gratitude to God for what it termed an "excellent and productive life well lived," emphasizing that Pastor Ene’s influence reached far beyond the pulpit.

"We honor and celebrate one of the great generals of God in our generation — one who lived and taught the unadulterated Word of God, danced with the "Pastor Akinwale wrote that she taught us to emulate her example. Her existence was characterized by unwavering faith in God, selfless service, and deep affection for humanity."

The church highlighted that her legacy will persist in motivating the congregation and believers globally.

"Although she is no longer with us, her influence and legacy remain alive in our hearts and lives," the statement concluded. "We honor God’s servant, our mother-in-Israel, Pastor Mrs. Nkechinyere Ene. The Lord is good, and His mercies last forever."
