🚨 Public Health Advisory: Suspected Viral Haemorrhagic Fever in Abuja 🚨
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC) has confirmed that two recent suspected cases have tested NEGATIVE for both Ebola and Marburg. Additional tests for other Viral Haemorrhagic Fevers (VHFs) such as Lassa and Dengue are currently in progress.
Thanks to the prompt reporting by a traveller and the quick response of attentive health workers, the risk to the public has been significantly reduced.
🔹 If you are feeling unwell, particularly after travelling, seek medical attention without delay.
🔹 Regularly wash your hands and maintain good hygiene practices.
🔹 Avoid contact with individuals exhibiting unexplained fever, bleeding, vomiting, or diarrhoea.
