 As per an internal memo from the State Department that was examined by The Washington Post, the United States is contemplating the inclusion of 36 additional countries to the roster of nations subjected to visa bans or travel limitations. 

This action would represent a substantial intensification of the immigration enforcement measures initiated by the Trump administration and would greatly expand the parameters of the proclamation issued on June 4, 2025, which currently imposes restrictions on nationals from 19 countries.

The memo, which bears the signature of Secretary of State Marco Rubio, provides these countries with a 60-day period to comply.
