Four months following the resumption of operations in Nigeria, Emirates is steadily working towards reclaiming its position in the Nigerian market, as noted by the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Financial Derivatives Company Limited.
According to the report, Emirates flights are currently experiencing load factors exceeding 75 percent on the Lagos-Dubai route.
It is important to recall that Emirates resumed its operations in Nigeria in October 2024, two years after halting services due to various issues, including unresolved trapped funds belonging to the airline.
Aviation sector experts attribute the airline's resurgence to the increased travel demand during the festive season and the connecting flight traffic to other destinations.
